With Fall right around the corner I wanted to share my favorite apple crisp recipe with you:
10 cups apples, peeled, cored and sliced 1 cup quick- cooking oats
1 cup white sugar 1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon flour 1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon ¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ cup water ½ cup butter melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the sliced apples in a bowl. Add the white sugar, 1 tablespoon flour and cinnamon to the apples and toss together. Pour apple mixture into 9 x 13 pan and pour water evenly over all. In a separate bowl, combine the oats, 1 cup flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and melted butter. Crumble evenly over the apple mixture. Bake uncovered for about 45 minutes.
